Brains, beauty, charm. It seems there is nothing Gemma Chan doesn’t have. The English beauty, born Nov. 29, 1982, studied at Oxford University before starting her career with small TV roles. Her film career began to take off with parts in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014), Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), and Transformers: The Last Knight (2017), but she became a name to know as the lead of the 2018 rom-com Crazy Rich Asians. 

She went into blockbuster mode after that, taking the part of superhuman Sersi in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And 2022’s Don’t Worry Darling is already earning awards season buzz.
